Konza July Morning

Because of the heat of the day, the best time to go out on the prairie in July is either early morning or late evening. Of course, these are also the "golden hours" of photography. This particular morning in July of 2010 presented the prairie with gorgeous colors in the sky and in the land. Click on any image to see it large.

Arizona

A friend let me stay for a week in his home in Green Valley, Arizona, just south of Tucson. The images in this gallery were taken in and around the Tucson area.

Lower Antelope Canyon

In 2010 when I first visited Lower Antelope Canyon outside of Page, AZ, I took the photographer's tour and got a lot of really great pictures, and frequently was alone except for the Navajo guide. The second time in 2016, the place had become really popular and even though paying extra for the photographer's tour, there was a seemingly endless stream of tourists coming through making taking pictures without tourists difficult. Both times were in the summer. Next time, I think I'll try to get there in winter.
